Main Street Tours has for years guided private birding tours to the Klamath Basin of South Central Oregon & Northern California..

It is a remarkable flyway and home to over 350 species of birds throughout the year.

It is world famous for spectacular flocks of waterfowl on the lakes, rivers and nearby Klamath Basin National Wildlife Refuges.

At no other time is the Klamath Basin more blessed with unique beauty than the sunshine-filled months of winter when it becomes home to the largest concentration of wintering Bald Eagles in the lower 48 states. During this time for decades a very popular three-day festival event, The Winter Wings Festival, is held. This year on Presidents' Day 2010 weekend (Friday thru Sunday, Feb 12-14) again it will coincide with the presence of thousands of wintering eagles from as far away as the Alaskan tundra.

Festival participants can enjoy seeing magnificent raptors, waterfowl and wintering birds on tours and learn more about them at workshops.

More than 100 bird species are counted every winter in the Klamath Basin and you will learn how to identify them.
Join hundreds of others at the Festival is to share information, increase awareness of community resources and gain an understanding of this eco-system and wildlife resources
The Festival will offer noted speakers, authors, receptions, field trips, workshops, mini-sessions, and other special events.
In addition there are many free activities, vendors, live birds, and displays targeted to families and children.

Photography and scoping experts will share with enthusiasts. There will be many opportunities for you to sharpen your skills
Special Lodging can be provided as well as Transportation to the event and Private Guides is provided by Main Street Tours
Festival vans will be available for all participants.
The Klamath Basin Audubon Society (KBAS) is sponsoring the Winter Wings Festival in conjunction with the Klamath Wingwatchers.

Main Street Tours Terms and Conditions

• Daily tours are designed to accommodate a minimum of 2 persons or more.  We also make arrangements for larger group tours – ask about our larger group discounts.
• Our tour guides are professional hosts, educators, and our transport vehicles are custom, air-conditioned vans, Suburbans or in some cases, buses.
• We request that all tours be paid by tour departure and that a hold deposit for a date is secured. We are safety certified by the Red Cross.
• CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations after deposits are made , received more than 48- hours prior to a tour date or reservation booking , will result in a refund of 90% of the reservation price to cover our handling costs.  Less than 48 hours from tour departure  - 50% cancellation fee is required.  Feel free to contact us at (541) 482-7895 for extenuating circumstances.
